Why You Need to Be Your Own Guru

In the spiritual world, it's easy to get lost and feel like you must put others on a pedestal. WELL. I'm here to tell you, that you need to take them all off. Spiritual Teachers are humans just trying to figure shit out like the rest of us. As a spiritual teacher myself, I know that I DON'T have all the answers or wisdom. In fact, I learn from my clients every day!! And though I appreciate their respect and admiration, it blows me away to see how many people doubt their power and dim their light because they feel unsure of themselves. Enough of that, hunny. Learning and being a beginner doesn't make you 'less than.'

You know yourself better than anyone. And with that being said, let's dive innnnn!

-do you ever feel like you need someone else to give you your answers?

-maybe you look to others to validate you and your choices?

Been there, and still tryna dodge that habit daily 😂.

I had my first spiritual mentor when I was 20 (i think?). She was a psychic 🔮.

I went to her for a reading, and as I left she told me she was ‘guided to help develop my intuition.’ Sweet! 👏 I met with her quite often and she confirmed my intuition. every. damn. time.

✨But here’s the problem;

I trusted her more than I trusted in myself. And here’s the kicker:

Highly Intuitive people still filter their ‘messages’ through their own perceptions. Which is cool and amazing and makes us human.

But i didnt have ‘spiritual discernment’ if you wanna call it that. 🙅‍♀️ And I gave SO MUCH weight to EVERYTHING she told me. Even the things that did NAT feel right or sit well with me.And it impacted some of my close relationships in a bad way.

Not her fault. What im saying is, use your discernment. Trust YOURSELF more than anyone. Build integrity with yourself. Do what you say you’re going to do. 🗣Honor and live your ‘values’. Focus on your vision and stay in that lane.

From an energetic perspective, only you can know everything there is to know about you. 🙋‍🙋Only you can receive messages or downloads that will sit 100% perfect with you. It can feel hard to trust yourself, but it will change your life. YOU will take control.

Spiritual guides and mentors, like myself, are an amazing tool.. but that’s what they are. A tool!! 🔮✨An amazing blessing of a tool!!

We are not your higher self. Nothing can replace that.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t seek answers or ask questions about your spirituality to find yourself. But just remember to always honour your self above all else.

I tell my clients, I do not want to be their guru. 🤍 I will channel messages, I will use my psychology & spirituality skills. 🗺 But MOSTLY. I will teach you how to navigate shit until you are the MASTER of YOUR domain.

I will never know what it’s like to be you. 🤗 Sure, I can sense & can feel it, I’m very intuitive. But you my love, are the most powerful person in your life.
